Partner Institutions participate in the selection of incoming students, operate practice-oriented programs, organize industry–academia–research seminars and workshops, provide operational support and advisory services, and identify and implement collaborative projects with partner developing countries.

Based on their primary areas of business, they are categorized into research and development, public energy operations, engineering and infrastructure development, advanced-material development and production, carbon technologies and business, and renewable-energy cooperation.
